According to the media release by AMMG, the company’s consultants will be required to perform a batch test work in order to confirm specific process conditions and identify areas of possible economic liabilities that can be optimized in order to deliver improved financial results.

The main focus of the test work will be aimed at optimizing the capital and operating costs of a proposed HPA pilot plant, which would enable a high level review of smelter grade alumina (SGA) production using AMMG’s kaolin to alumina process.

Production of bulk 99.99% (4N) HPA sample will begin upon the completion of the batch optimization test work.

AMMG’s contracted consultants are highly qualified process operators with vast experience in process plant implementation and optimization, as well as in project management and financial analysis.  Their processing facility based in Perth is fully equipped to facilitate the company’s objectives.

Adertisement

“We are confident that, upon successful testing of our HPA sample, customers will be satisfied with the quality and characteristics of our unique 4N product, which may lead to the successful negotiation of a potential off-take contract,” said AMMG’s Managing Director, Mr Ric Dawson.

Discussions are ongoing with regards to a potential continuous trial process testing program, with AMMG reviewing a number of funding proposals containing varying finance structures for its proposed HPA commercialization process.

High purity alumina (purity level of more than 99.9%) is a specialized alumina used for its superior hardness, high brightness, inertness, superior corrosion resistance and the ability to withstand extreme temperatures. It is used in automotive sensor applications and in semiconductor applications, with about 60% of HPA designated to the LED industry.
