Cirrus Networks, whose IT solutions provide resource companies with the means to automate operational processes, improve analytics and drive lower costs, said the three contracts are worth in excess of $1 million.

According to the company, a global mining giant has contracted Cirrus to provide data storage to their mine sites in Western Australia.

Cirrus said a decision was made to implement next-gen All-Flash enterprise technology that vastly improves the performance of key mission critical applications, and to provide disaster recovery backup to their data in the Perth CBD, with implementation to begin in April 2016.

The second contract was handed to Cirrus by Independence Group (IGO), which selected the company to provide new data centre infrastructure to enable further expansion on their current investment.

According to Cirrus Managing Director Frank Richmond, this new infrastructure will also help IGO facilitate the integration of their merger with Sirius Resources.

“As a key technology partner to Independence Group we are delighted to have again been selected to provide this key infrastructure and we look forward to continuing our long term relationship with the expanded group,” Mr Richmond stated.

Cirrus has also been selected by a leading mining services business to provide and implement a virtual desktop environment after a successful pilot highlighted the potential benefits of this technology solution.

Mr Richmond said the contract wins illustrated the company’s capabilities in developing enabling technology solutions for the resources sector.

“We are delighted to have been recognised for our innovative enabling solutions through these 3 contract wins with blue chip companies,” Mr Richmond pointed out.

“Ass all businesses, particularly those within the resources sector look to enabling technologies to drive lower operational costs, Cirrus is excited at the opportunity to showcase our success in this area.”
