According to the official announcement, the new plant will capture waste heat and convert it into usable power.

The deal is expected to generate about $1.2 million to $1.5 million in revenue per year.

Aside from producing zero emissions, the plant will also significantly slash Northern Star’s operating costs at the Jundee mine.

Adertisement

“We are delighted to welcome Northern Star as our first client and look forward to commencing deployment of our heat-to-power system at Jundee. This agreement is a significant milestone for the company and validates Enerji’s advanced and innovative technology. We are already in discussions with other parties regarding adopting our technology, and believe the agreement with Northern Star is the first of many,” said Enerji’s CEO Andrew Vlahov.

“Northern Star is a company focused on delivering value to its shareholders. Our agreement with Enerji offers a cost-effective way to produce electricity through the recycling of waste heat which is traditionally unrecovered energy. This aligns with Northern Star’s commitments to operate in our communities in an environmentally responsible manner. We are very pleased to partner with Enerji on this project,” added Stuart Tonkin, CEO of Northern Star.
