The development of Pilgangoora Lithium-Tantalum Project, wholly-owned by Pilbara Minerals, is being undertaken by RCR Tomlinson through a two-stage contract in January.
RCR Tomlinson Ltd (ASX: RCR) recently announced that it has received a notice to proceed for the construction of the 2Mtpa processing plant at the Pilgangoora Lithium-Tantalum Mine.
“We are pleased to be supporting Pilbara Minerals for this significant Lithium development. Work will commence immediately on the Project and it will contribute to our FY18 earnings,” said RCR’s Managing Director and CEO, Dr Paul Dalgleish.
According to the news release, the RCR’s Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract with Pilbara Minerals, valued at approximately $148 million, was awarded in two stages with stage 2 construction works subject to Pilbara Minerals Limited (ASX: PLS) completing its final investment decision (FID).
Considering the first stage —front-end engineering and design (FEED) program— already complete, construction work (stage 2) will commence immediately.
