The latest approval, which follows last week’s Mining Proposal approval, means that the State Mining Engineer has formally greenlighted the commencement of mining at Pilgangoora, bringing Altura closer to unlocking significant cashflows in early 2018 via sales of spodumene concentrates.

Altura said it will now proceed to mobilise NRW’s earthmoving equipment to site, where the installation of bore infrastructure and initial site offices is expected to be completed by mid-March.

According to the company’s statement, these activities will be immediately followed up by the commencement of bulk earthworks for mine infrastructure.
