It comes after the NT Department of Mines and Energy approved the Mining Management plan last month.

The re-commissioning efforts have been assisted by Foundation Resources Pty Ltd, which oversaw the technical plans for the mining operations and the re-commissioning of the diamonds processing plant.

“Crushing and screening of stockpiled oversize material from previous operations located adjacent to the plant has commenced and the Dense Media Separation (DMS) plant has been successfully recommissioned,” Merlin diamonds told the ASX.

Adertisement

According to the company, the first production of diamonds from the concentrate generated by the DMS plant is expected by mid-October.
